Founder

Chiedu Uwaechia is the founder of Ripple Heights, a UK registered charity that delivers community development projects to alleviate poverty in Africa. The creation of Ripple Heights in October 2016 was borne out of his passion for Community based programs. Chiedu is a data scientist by profession, and holds two master’s degrees, in both IT Service Management from the University of Northampton UK and Data Science from Middlesex University London. In the last decade, He has worked and managed IT delivery teams in various capacity for UK investment banks, multinational companies and blue-chip technology companies in the city of London with a major focus on delivering hybrid global projects using robust tool sets to orchestrate delivery. He has successfully deployed several Sustainable Development interventions centred on uplifting humanity in Africa. In line with the Sustainable Development Goal: 6 of Clean Water and Sanitation, Ripple Heights has partnered with some State governments in Nigeria to provide portable drinking water to some of its remotest communities. Ripple Heights with the visionary leadership of Chiedu Uwaechia, has attained key milestones which include but not limited to the following: In 2017, Water borehole plant at Araromi Community in Ibeju Lekki Lagos state, Nigeria with over 3,000 people living in the Community. In 2018, Ripple Heights installed a water borehole plant at Iyagbe Ojo Community also in Lagos state Nigeria providing potable water for 4,000 people that reside at the community. In 2019, another water borehole plant was installed at Agbo Market at Vandeikya community Benue State, Nigeria providing potable water for market women. In line with the Sustainable Development Goal: 2 of Zero Hunger in Africa, Ripple Heights recently acquired 6 acres of farmland in Oyo State Nigeria to drive its GO Agro Program which is geared towards channelling agricultural initiatives to increase Food Production, Cattle Ranching practices, plus a capacity building mechanism focused on training small holder farmers on sustainable agriculture practices. To date, Ripple Heights has initiated collaborative partnerships with several agricultural agencies in Africa, which earned them the 2021 winner of Robert Bosch seed funds in collaboration with GLFx. Chiedu is also passionate about youth empowerment and has facilitated some sporting initiatives through his Slum to League projects. Chiedu and his team are currently working to build a GLF Ibadan Chapter to promote and create community awareness on unsafe agricultural practices which damage the landscape. They intend to achieve this goal by training farmers on Sustainable landscape management and Safe agricultural practice to boost food production.
