The Global Landscapes Forum aims to create events that offer attendees a range of engaging and interactive ways to participate beyond our inspiring sessions and plenaries. Choose from taking centre stage with a Landscape Talk, connecting with likeminds and potential collaborators during a speed networking session or speaking with passion and purpose at our Speakers Corner. Please also take a moment to read our Inclusion Policy, a value central to the GLF mission. We welcome feedback and ideas for future events so be sure to complete the post-event survey or speak to a member of our team in Bonn.
Landscape Talks
Welcome to the Big Stage. Share a cool idea, innovation, an amazing research breakthrough or critical issue that 1 billion people need to hear. Your talk will be professionally filmed, moderated, produced and broadcast online to a global audience of tens of thousands. We’ll share with you your recorded talk, while featuring it on the GLF communications channels.
Ideal session length: 7 minutes

‘Speakers Corner’ - make your declaration for a rights-based approach to sustainable landscapes
Acknowledging equal human rights in theory seems obvious, but in practice the protection and upholding of rights frequently sparks controversy, defensiveness, contradiction and a disregard for shared values. Extending the ‘Whose Rights?’ question to include the Rights of Nature raises further questions that will shape the future of our planet and its precious eco-systems. This year GLF offers a dedicated space for any conference participant to take to the ‘soapbox’ and declare their rights. What are the rights you are fighting for, what experience do you need people to listen to, and what is your declaration for you or your communities rights to a sustainable, prosperous, equitable and resilient landscape?
All the declarations at the Speakers Corner will be filmed and reviewed by the GLF Knowledge Committee in accordance with the ongoing development of the standard of a rights-based approach to sustainable landscapes.
Ask a member of the GLF team or a volunteer for further information on the times and location when you arrive to the conference.
Speed Networking
GLF is proud to serve as a platform that brings together a diverse network of practitioners, scientists, academics, policy makers and community leaders. Many important partnerships and collaborations have had their seeds planted at a GLF event and your next important encounter could happen here too! Make the most of this face-to-face opportunity by participating in our facilitated speed networking. These 30 minute sessions will take place during our coffee break times and offer you an occasion to meet new, interesting people and make potentially fruitful connections.
