Julia has a background on global food security and agroecology. She conducted research on edible plant diversity in home gardens in an indigenous village in south east Mexico. Currently she is an intern at GIZ in the area of agricultural policies with a focus on the nexus between climate change, agriculture and food and nutrition security. She is a member of the Global Agroecology Alliance (GAEA).
