A Nigerian national, Iretomiwa’s areas of expertise include climate change, conservation, forestry, biodiversity, and community driven development, with work experiences spanning sub-Sharan Africa and South Asia.

As Senior Environmental Specialist for the World Bank, Iretomiwa leads projects that are contributing to landscape resilience in Zambia, notably the Strengthening Climate Resilience (PPCR Phase II) and Transforming Landscapes for Resilience and Development projects. He also co-team leads the Zambia Integrated Forest Landscape Project (ZIFLP), the Nyika Transfrontier Conservation Area Project, and the Zambia Forest Investment Program (ZFIP).

Iretomiwa holds a Graduate Degree in Environment and Natural Resource Management from the University of Maryland, United States and Undergraduate Degree in Animal Production and Health from the University of Agriculture Abeokuta, Nigeria.
