Daniel holds a Master of Forest Science from Canterbury University, New Zealand, with expertise in restoration ecology. Debrah is a research forester who has involved himself in provenance trials, mixed species experiments, forest inventories, and plantation development in degraded forest reserves over the past ten years. He supervised the establishment of 770,000 trees of different species in a degraded forest reserve in Ghana. Daniel is currently working in the savannah landscape, engaging communities in dialogues for landscape restoration and advocating for regenerative agriculture. He builds farmers’ capacity in tree seed sourcing and nursery management, the development of compost, and the promotion of animal waste utilization in farming. He is also passionate about the environment and devotes most of his time to addressing environmental degradation through dialogues or on-the-ground activities. He is the chapter coordinator for Global Landscape Forum Bawku, operationalizing the chapter’s community action plan.
