Integrated Landscape Management for inclusive and sustainable development puts specific places and people living in them in the centre. Involved stakeholders on landscape level have various needs and sometimes even conflicting interests. At the same time actors in a landscape may have innovative ideas, all of them carry relevant knowledge and many have access to a plethora of solutions available. Therefore, it is important to bring relevant stakeholders together. The design thinking method has a human-centered core. What is more important than understanding the needs of the people working and living in a landscape? This approach encourages participants to focus on the people on the ground and taking action by understanding the right questions. The workshop shall inspire participants to embrace the complexity of landscapes and engage in discussions designing a creative process towards uniting actions from above and below by taking different perspectives.
