The Africa Environmental Film Festival (AEFF) is a science based environmental film platform founded by British Columbia Environmental Film Festival (BCEFF) in partnership with CIFOR-ICRAF.
Drawing on BCEFF’s proven festival model, international programming, filmmaker networks, and filmmaker-scientist workshops, AEFF adapts this experience to the African context through strong research partnerships and locally grounded storytelling.
Building on the scientific reputation of CIFOR – ICRAF, a global research and development organization that works at the intersection of forests, trees and agroforestry to address climate change, biodiversity loss and livelihoods.
Together, both organizations share a five-year ambition: to unite creatives, scientists, donors, governments, private sector leaders, and communities around environmental action through film.
