Amimo has over 15 years’ experience as a rural finance and agricultural value chain practitioner and trainer with extensive practical experience in African agricultural finance practices. He holds a MSc. Degree in Sustainable Environment management from Middlesex University, UK and a certificate in Rural and Agricultural Finance from the Boulder Institute of Microfinance. He is currently the Head of Programmes and Network coordinator at AFRACA, in charge of managing and supervising the successful implementation of rural and agri finance Programmes funded by different development partners, including FAO, EU, CTA, IFAD, MEDA, Small Foundation, among others.

Mr. Amimo has trained over 500 Bankers from diverse institutions in Sub-Saharan Africa on various topical issues in rural finance, such as Agricultural value chain finance, agri-SME loan assessment, Warehouse Receipt Finance for Bankers, Digital tools and models in rural and agricultural finance and recently on the role of financiers in the Blue Economy. He is also a co-author of the publication by FAO on Agricultural value chain finance innovations and lessons: Case studies in Africa (2020).
