Here’s everything you need to know about joining the GLF Africa 2025 Hybrid Conference in person on 19 June 2025.
Please note that in-person applications for the conference are now closed. However, you are warmly invited to register online and join us virtually.
The event venue, the CIFOR-ICRAF Nairobi Campus, is located in the heart of the capital in Gigiri, next to the United Nations Office.
Network with a select group of people from around the globe and thousands more joining the conference online from across the globe.
Enjoy delicious dishes throughout the day, including morning and afternoon coffee breaks and buffet-style lunches.
RUN AN EXHIBITION
Book a tabletop in the exhibition area of the conference venue to showcase your work and ideas with landscape actors on the frontlines of the climate crisis.
TRAVELING TO NAIROBI
Nairobi is served by Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, the biggest airport in Kenya, served by 39 airlines with flights to and from 64 destinations around the world.
Kindly note most nationalities are required to obtain an e-visa before departing for Kenya. Apply for a tourist visa here.
The Global Landscapes Forum does not provide funding to attend the conference in Nairobi, nor will it sponsor visa requests or travel arrangements.
INTERESTING THINGS TO DO IN NAIROBI
Nairobi National Park
Treat yourself with a Safari in the world’s only wildlife capital. The park is located seven kilometers from Nairobi’s central business district and offers a variety of wildlife, picnic sites, campsites and hiking trails.
Nairobi National Museum
The museum showcases Kenya’s heritage with four themes representing culture, nature, history and art. Other things include a snake park, botanical gardens, an art auditorium, dining and shopping facilities.
Karura Forest
Located next to the CIFOR-ICRAF Nairobi Campus, Karura Forest offers eco-friendly activities such as hikes and picnics.
