Ywe Franken has a master’s degree in tropical agronomic engineering from Wageningen University. He started his professional career in bioenergy, setting up bioethanol, biogas and electricity production systems for communities and SME’s in Latin America, Africa and Southeast Asia. He joined Tony’s Chocolonely as a Serious Farming Accelerator in 2018 and has 10 years of experience working in cocoa sustainability. In his current role, Ywe is responsible for Tony’s cocoa productivity program. He’s also involved in cocoa traceability, (agro) forestry and cocoa living income reference price setting.
