Jason Sircely is agricultural ecologist and conservation biologist holding a BA in Biology from Earlham College, and an MA in Conservation Biology, an MPhil in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Columbia University. He has over 15 years of applied and theoretical experience in agricultural and conservation research in the United States and East and West Africa. His current research focuses primarily on action research for land restoration in communal grazing lands in East Africa, and modeling of grazing management effects on forage and other ecosystem services.
