Dr. Mwakalukwa works as the National Director of Forest and Beekeeping at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism (MNRT), in Tanzania since 2016. Before joining MNRT, Dr. Mwakalukwa worked as a university lecturer at the College of Forestry, Wildlife and Tourism, Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) since 2008. His areas of expertise include biomass modeling and carbon stocks estimation, forest governance and sustainable management of forest resources particularly dry land forests.
