Dr Christina (Echi) Gabbert is a researcher and lecturer at the Institute for Social and Cultural Anthropology at Göttingen University, Germany. She has collaborated with pastoralists in southern Ethiopia over the last 20 years. Among her many publications, she is co-editor of the book Lands of the Future: Anthropological Perspectives on Pastoralism, Land Deals and Tropes of Modernity.
