Natasha Garcha is the Senior Director of Sustainable Finance at Impact Investment Exchange (IIX) where she has worked on IIX’s gender lens investing initiatives, research, and impact measurement work in Asia-Pacific, East Africa, and the United States. Natasha’s team focuses on the financial structuring, investor relations, and impact assessment for IIX’s award-winning Women’s Livelihood BondTM Series whose proceeds are empowering +2.6 million women in emerging markets to build economic security and climate resilience. Natasha has worked on multiple research papers and projects focused on gender equity, climate action, and/or peacebuilding along with partners such as the United Nations Development Programme, the United States Agency for International Development, the Bank of America Foundation, the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, the Environmental Defence Fund, and the Rockefeller Foundation, among others. Garcha also spearheads the Orange Bond Initiative, the world’s first debt asset class for investing in gender equality to advance sustainable peace, prosperity, and climate security. She adopts an intersectional approach to ensure equal representation of women and individuals from the Global South in shaping financial markets to embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion.
