Indigenous miskitu and anthropologist from Nicaragua. She has worked on participatory research with different indigenous peoples in Latin America, focusing on issues of indigenous territorial construction for self-governance, as well as indigenous peoples’ participation in the management of natural resources in their territories, always using the participation of indigenous women as a basis for further consolidation of the rights of their peoples. She is currently working for the Centre for the Autonomy and Development of Indigenous Peoples (CADPI) as a researcher and advocacy officer on climate finance and territorial governance. She is also in charge of following-up on the negotiations on indigenous peoples and climate finance at the Green Climate Fund and the UNFCCC, as part of the Elatia Network advocacy team in climate finance.
