Zoë Gauld-Angelucci (B.Soc. Sci Hon & MPhil Development Studies, University of Cape Town) is currently the Head of Programmes at The Greenpop Foundation, an award-winning environmental non-profit organisation based in Cape Town, South Africa, and a member of GLFx Cape Town. Her work includes overseeing forest restoration, urban greening, food gardening and environmental awareness projects across four countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and beyond. Prior to her current role, Zoë spent 5 years crafting Greenpop’s communications and achieved international media recognition for her campaigns promoting positive environmentalism. She is a member of South Africa’s National Greening Forum, was the recipient of a Mail and Guardian Greening the Future Award in 2021, and, through frequent television, radio, and speaking engagements across South Africa, aims to inspire hope, passion, and impactful action (not anxiety) around the environmental crisis.
