Bakary Traoré is the Executive Director of IDEF (Initiatives for Community Development and Forest Conservation), an Ivorian NGO that specialises in natural resource governance and monitoring supply chains for timber, cocoa, and mining. IDEF has been supporting sustainable cocoa production without deforestation since 2019 and conducts independent observations to report on the ground realities in these sectors.
