Tatiana Escovar is the Andean Representative at the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), where she leads programs and partnerships in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. Her work focuses on building strong relationships with donors, development partners, government institutions, academia, NGOs, and the private sector to advance GGGI’s mission of promoting sustainable, inclusive, and low-carbon development across the region.At GGGI, Tatiana has driven the implementation of initiatives that foster green growth through rural development, sustainable land-use planning, and investment strategies that leverage biodiversity and natural capital. She works closely with national and local governments to create enabling environments for green finance and innovative policies that contribute to climate resilience and social inclusion.Prior to joining GGGI, Tatiana held strategic roles at the Colombian Ministry of Rural Development and Agriculture and the National Planning Department. She also worked with international NGOs such as the Wildlife Conservation Society and in the private sector with Poligrow Colombia S.A., where she focused on sustainable development and environmental management.Tatiana has over 15 years of experience in sustainable development, with expertise in rural development, green investment strategies, and land-use planning.
