Dr. Selim Reza is a passionate social entrepreneur who also helps small businesses grow and handle natural resources, especially bamboo. He was good at leading development projects in North-Eastern India and East African countries . He also worked on a project to grow bamboo in Ethiopia, Madagascar, and Tanzania. He is in charge of similar programs run by the International Bamboo and Rattan Organization, which is based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and implemented in Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda. He has won the National Award from the Indian government and been named an IDRC-Scholl Research Fellow. He has also contributed in book chapters on land restoration and had his work published in both academic journals and magazines. His academic credentials include a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Aligarh Muslim University and a PhD in Sociology from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University in Agra, India.
