Roger Baro was appointed in June 2023 and brings extensive experience in environmental governance, pollution prevention, and sustainable resource management. Within the ministry, he leads initiatives to strengthen restoration, improve water security, and build climate resilience. Internationally, he represents Burkina Faso in key forums such as the Minamata Convention and global restoration platforms, promoting collaborative action on sustainable land and water management
