Ottilie Bälz is Senior Vice President Global Issues at Robert Bosch Stiftung, Germany, overseeing the work of the foundation in the topics of migration and climate change. From 2015 until 2019 she headed the Society department (focusing German society) including programs on integration and inclusion, Muslims in Germany, civil society, youth and democracy, as well as cultural participation. Ottilie has been with the Robert Bosch Stiftung since 2002, starting her career in the department International Relations with Central and Eastern Europe. From 2004 to 2005 she was delegated to the Directorate-General for Culture and Education of the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin. Prior to joining the foundation, she was a project manager at the Goethe-Institute Moscow and directed cultural programs in Russia. She has also worked in the NGO sector. Ottilie Bälz studied Slavic and German Philology and Central and Eastern European History in Cologne and Moscow and holds a M.A. from the University of Cologne.
