Monicah Yator

Monicah Yator is an Indigenous Woman from the Tugen Pastoralist Community, in Baringo, Kenya. She is a Human Rights defender, activist and feminist.

Monicah holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Science and a Diploma in Community Development and Social Work. She is a Trainer of Trainers on Agroecology and Permaculture innovations and an advocate for agroecological transitioning for climate change actions and resilience.

Monicah is a member of multiple groups, such as the Core Agroecology Coalition, the Alliance for Food
Sovereignty in Africa, the Pastoralists Alliance for
Resilience and Adaptation Across Nations, and the Coalition of Indigenous Women Organization.
