Kamel is a development practitioner with 11 years of experience in strategy and programme development related to youth participation and inclusion, gender equality, climate change, agriculture and food security programming. He holds a master’s degree in Environmental Science Policy and Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Kamel is passionate about conservation and has built a strong team of community advocates to effectively engage policymakers in a holistic process to protect their environment and traditional cultural systems and enhance livelihood options. He is the Biodiversity and Climate Resilience Programme Coordinator for RAINS- a local non-governmental organization in Ghana. Kamel is a receiver of the Joke Waller Hunter Initiative, Orange Knowledge Scholarship (Nuffic) and a YALI RLC West Africa Fellow.
