Maurille Elegbede is the UNCDD Focal Point of Benin. Maurille graduated as an environmentalist at Ecole Polytechnique d’Abomey Calavi (ex-College Polytechnique Universitaire) and achieved a PhD in the field of applied entomology (agricultural option) from the University of Calavi (Benin). Maurille works at The Ministry of Living Environment and Sustainable Development as an environmentalist at the General Direction of Environment and Climate. She is also in charge of environmental risk management. For this, she works on the chemical management strategy. She is also affiliated with the faculty of agronomy of the University of Parakou as a teacher-researcher. Since she began working, her principal activities as in the fields of agroecology and biological pest control.
