Juliana Kerexu was one of the champions of the creation of the Tekoha Takuati village, in the Indigenous Land Cotinga, in the Paraná state of Brazil, where she is the cacica (chief). Juliana Kerexu is one of the prominent female leaders of her people, mobilising several women in the national meetings of the Guarani women. She is one of the guardians of the Atlantic Forest and the Pampas Biome. Juliana is currently CGY’s only female Executive Coordinator (Tenondé), responsible for elevating the voices and interests of all Indigenous women and girls from Brazil nationally and internationally.
