Julian Garcia

Julián García is currently the Vice President of Strategic Affairs and Sustainability at Finagro. He has experience in designing and monitoring policies for the agricultural sector, developing project proposals, and teaching at the university level. He has worked at the Directorate of Sustainable Rural Development of the National Planning Department (DNP), the General Management of the National Federation of Coffee Growers, the National Coffee Research Center, and the Center for Regional Coffee and Business Studies, among other institutions.
He is a veterinary doctor and zootechnician from the University of Caldas, holds a master’s degree in Economic Sciences from the National University of Colombia – Bogotá, and a PhD in Development Studies from the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom.
