Chris is Director of the IUCN Centre for Economy and Finance responsible for overall programme delivery of the Economics, Enterprise & Investment, Climate Change and Agriculture teams with programme funding from a range of government and private sector investments. He has over 30 years’ experience in a range of Nature-based Solutions, natural resource management, conservation, climate change, governance (local and global) and livelihood programmes with global and field based organizations, including long term work in Africa and short term work in over 45 countries. Previously director of the IUCN forest programme, Chris has also co-led the Nature and Nature Based Solutions thematic areas for the COP26 High Level Champion, and previously was the co-lead of The Forests Dialogue.
