Chido Dzinotyiwei is the founder and CEO of Vambo AI, a multilingual generative AI company building language technology for African and global languages. Vambo AI offers tools for translation, transcription, generative content, and AI-powered search across over 40 African languages and 20 global languages, designed to bridge linguistic gaps in sectors such as education, media, telecommunications, agriculture, and government.
At the heart of its offering is Vambo Studio, a platform designed to empower developers, creators, and enterprises to seamlessly integrate African language capabilities into their own products, services, and workflows. By offering flexible APIs and model access, Vambo Studio enables more inclusive innovation – whether it’s building localized chatbots, transcribing indigenous audio, or creating culturally resonant content.
Her work has been recognized through support from the Mastercard Foundation, the Aanit Prize for Social Impact, and her appointment to the G20 Startup Taskforce on Trade and Market Access. She holds a Master’s in Development Finance from the University of Cape Town and previously worked in banking and venture development at Standard Bank.
