Afy Malungu is the Pulitzer Center‘s outreach Program Manager for Africa. She is currently implementing the “Knowledge and Action Talks”, an outreach initiative which aims at fostering discussions and inspiring action for change on Africa forest, ocean and the intersection between climate and labor issues.
Malungu is also the founder and editor of Africa Reveal, and a contributor and a former French editor of InfoCongo, an EJN geojournalism platform focused on the Congo Basin. She has been working on environmental communication and journalism in the DRC and the Congo Basin for more than 10 years with various organizations and setting up and implementing communication and outreach programs. Malungu is passionate about making environmental information accessible to people so that they can enhance their livelihoods and protect Earth.
