Restoring NW European peatlands through sustainable building material

This session will explore in detail the potential restoration of Peatlands and the benefits of so doing. This will be a session rooted in practical examples, drawing on the work being done in Germany with the growing of Cattail, and a candid discussion of the scope of restoration. The speaker, Aldert van Weeren is Landscaper by profession and organizes small nature trips.  He is the first cattail farmer in Northwestern  Europe.
