Celly Catharina is the Senior Marine Program Specialist in USAID February 2010. She leads USAID’s marine portfolio which strives for marine biodiversity conservation, sustainable use of marine resources as well as enhancing people’s welfare. She has deep experience in designing and managing large marine projects and has a strong educational background in marine sciences. She has continued expanding strategic partnerships in marine and fisheries sector with Government of Indonesia and other international communities.

Prior to joining USAID, she served as Project Management Advisor and Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for Coral Reef Management Program Phase II (COREMAP II) under the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries for about six years. She also worked for USAID funded Coastal and Marine Resources Project (CRMP) in 2003. She started her career as research associate at Coastal and Marine Resources Studies, Bogor Agricultural University in 1997.

She earned her bachelor degree in marine sciences from Bogor Agricultural University in 1997 and master degree from Aarhus University in 2003. The latest was funded by DANIDA, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
