Nickolas Fredericks is married and has 4 children. He was born and raised on a ranch three miles south of Shulinab, a mixed Macushi/Wapishana village. At a young age he became aware of the importance of the natural environment and developed a passion for its protection. It is this passion that has led him to become a leading advocate for land rights in the Rupununi.

‘The protection of the land is something that people need and mother nature needs.’
